FAQs

It was initially named after the first syllable of its Japanese pronunciation because it could be used as a mat, sheet, or mattress. After using it, we discovered that it satisfies both body and mind. This is a new type of bedding that replaces futons and towel blankets. It's popular as a clean, comfortable quilt, and of course, it's also perfect as a sleeping mat.

Winner of the Special Award at the 45th Fukuoka Prefecture Invention and Idea Review Committee in Japan. "Pasima®" is a new bedding product made from degreased cotton and gauze.

"Oeko-Tex®" Class 1 Certification

Oeko-Tex is a global standard that guarantees the absence of harmful substances to the human body.

Class 1 is the strictest standard for infant and toddler products, guaranteeing safety even if a baby licks it. In Japan,
Pasima was the first bedding brand to obtain this Class 1 certification.

Clean Materials

Manufactured with the same technology as sanitary materials,

boiled at 100°C and sterilized with 150°C hot air. In addition, lint generated during washing is minimal. Therefore, there is no flying lint, and it has an anti-dust effect.

Additive-Free

Ideal for those with eczema and allergies.

Naturally, no optical brighteners, fabric softeners, various finishing agents, or even sizing are used. Even colored products use safe dyes for light coloring.

Pleasant Touch

~The more you wash it, the more comfortable it becomes~ After washing, it becomes softer and its absorbency improves, allowing you to enjoy the soft feel of gauze.

Lightweight

In winter, it's very comfortable to use inside a down comforter.

It's lightweight, doesn't slip, and can be washed.

Good Sleep

~Comfortable Sleep~ Hands and feet warm up quickly

Whether in summer or winter, it maintains the ideal temperature and humidity inside the blanket. It's easy to fall asleep and maintain good sleep, and the comfort upon waking is also excellent, even helping to improve immunity.

High Absorbency

~Cool in Summer~ As can be seen from the constituent materials,

its absorbency is outstanding, more than 150% higher than futons and towel blankets. Even in hot summer, you won't feel stuffy.

Insulation

~Warm in Winter~ Compared to ordinary cotton batting,

degreased cotton has over 150% higher insulation. Pasima's filling shows even greater insulation.

Less Dust

~Look at a baby's finger crevices~ Are a sweating baby's finger crevices filled with lint? This is rarely the case when using Pasima.

Can be washed directly without a laundry bag

~Always keep clean~ Using strong sewing thread, the structure of the filling is reinforced and does not shift. The more it is washed, the more allergens such as dust mites are removed. It can withstand over 100 washes.

Quick Drying

~Dries quickly after washing~ Internal moisture is quickly expelled. After washing, the filling expands and becomes fluffier. On a sunny day, it can dry within 2 to 3 hours (Pasima Quick-Dry Quilt Deluxe).

No Need for Storage Cabinets

It can be dried on the same day after washing, so it's fine even without a spare. It can be used comfortably in both summer and winter, eliminating the need for special storage.

■ Different degrees of refining. Do masks have an odor? This is a higher standard than masks. We use the same manufacturing methods as medical-grade absorbent cotton and gauze, so it is clean and pure.

■ Water absorption increased by more than 1.5 times. Try dropping a few drops of water on it. Because it is thoroughly refined, the water absorption is more than 1.5 times that of ordinary cotton, even after washing.

■ Three-layer structure. The middle layer is "filling cotton," making it lightweight, warm, quick-drying, and breathable. The front and back are gauze, and the middle layer is filled with absorbent cotton, forming a three-layer structure. The filling cotton is reinforced to prevent shifting and is durably stitched, making it resistant to washing.

■ Less lint. Do you find lint between your baby's fingers? Because it does not use thick threads or raise the fibers, it is structurally less prone to shedding lint. The gauze used is high-quality No. 40, which not only sheds less lint but also feels very soft.

■ Lightweight and warm. We recommend Pasima for winter. Absorbent cotton has a higher warmth retention rate than ordinary cotton. Compared to quilts or towel blankets, it is only 2/3 the weight, making it lighter and more desirable.

■ Quick-drying. If the weather is good, it can dry in 2-3 hours. It dries very quickly after washing. The inner cotton expands fluffily, and the internal moisture is quickly transferred to the gauze, accelerating drying.

■ Additive-free and safe. It has obtained global standard Oeko-Tex certification. It is safe even if licked by a baby, belonging to the highest safety level, Class 1. We use the manufacturing methods of absorbent cotton and gauze, so it is very safe. Of course, no processing agents, from fluorescent dyes to various other agents, are used. Therefore, it is recommended for people with eczema.

This product is primarily made of extremely clean absorbent cotton and gauze from which impurities have been removed, making it particularly recommended for individuals with eczema.

■ Different batting

The batting used is medical-grade absorbent cotton. This provides excellent water absorption, moisture absorption, moisture wicking, and breathability, leading to a good sleep experience.

■ Different gauze

The outer gauze is also different. It uses the same material as medical-grade gauze and undergoes the same refining process. If you smell it up close, you'll notice there's no odor from adhesives or other impurities; it feels odorless and comfortable.

■ Different stitching

Please compare the stitches. Pasima's stitches are about half the size of ordinary bedding stitches. Pasima is designed to be washable, so the stitch length and thread strength have been carefully considered. Even after 100 washes, the stitches will not break.

■ Summary

Pasima, with its excellent water absorption, moisture absorption, and moisture wicking properties (see product brochure), helps you fall asleep easily, improves sleep quality, and promotes relaxation.

*Breathability alone cannot maintain a comfortable state. It must be combined with moisture absorption and moisture wicking to control humidity within a comfortable range.

■ Machine washable.
■ Reinforced filling prevents shifting.
■ Strong stitching can withstand over 100 washes.
■ Edges are reinforced with binding to prevent fraying.
■ Dries quickly, making it easy to wash.
■ The more you wash it, the better it feels.
■ We recommend washing approximately once a week.
■ Using synthetic detergents with fluorescent brighteners may make light colors appear brighter.
■ We do not recommend using fabric softener or detergents containing fabric softener, as this will reduce absorbency and make the gauze too soft and prone to tearing.
■ If using soap, rinse thoroughly to prevent soap residue from reattaching.

■ Satisfactory quick-drying performance ■ * Washing the entire bedding is an effective method for removing dust mite allergens.

- Pasima dries quickly! - Washing is also very easy. No need to put it in a laundry net, just unfold and wash!

In summer, towel quilts sometimes cling to the body. This is because they don't absorb sweat, and the surface becomes sticky, causing them to wrap around the body. When the quilt clings to the body, there's no space between the skin and the quilt, leading to a stuffy and uncomfortable feeling.

Pashimo's comfort in summer comes from its breathability and dry touch. Additionally, it maintains appropriate space between the skin and the quilt. Pashimo absorbs body sweat and releases it to the surface, keeping the skin consistently dry. At the same time, as moisture evaporates from the surface, a cooling effect is produced. This is why Pashimo provides excellent warmth in winter but still feels cool in summer. Therefore, Pashimo is a comfortable bedding suitable for all seasons.

In the high summer temperatures, increased sweating leads to higher internal humidity. Pashimo has excellent moisture absorption and wicking properties, absorbing moisture and expelling it to the outside. This action not only cools but also reduces internal humidity. In winter's low temperatures, with less sweating and lower humidity, Pashimo plays its warming role. In this way, Pashimo can automatically maintain a comfortable temperature of 33 degrees and humidity close to 50% within the bed. It's like the Azekura-zukuri architecture of the Shosoin Repository.

Light and refreshing in summer, absorbent cotton is known for its excellent water absorption, even called "water-absorbing cotton." Sweat and heat are absorbed, making you feel comfortable and healthy!

■ Pashiman's filling has excellent warmth retention.

Pashiman is a special duvet. It uses degreased pure cotton, which has more than 50% higher thermal insulation than ordinary cotton duvets. In addition, the 15% polyester fiber blend filling makes it warmer and lighter.

■ Has appropriate breathability.

Warmth alone is not enough to make one feel warm. When the human body comes into contact with oxygen, the heat generated brings a feeling of warmth. Pashiman has appropriate breathability, allowing the human body to remain comfortable.

■ Excellent moisture absorption.

Excellent moisture absorption means that when the human body sweats, water vapor is absorbed by the fibers, and heat is generated when moisture is absorbed. Therefore, using Pashiman after thoroughly drying it can further enhance its warmth retention effect.

■ Does not cling to the body.

Perhaps this will be surprising, but leaving a little gap is warmer than clinging to the body. Due to its gauze's unevenness, lightness, and thickness, Pashiman does not cling to the skin, thus providing unexpected warmth and a sense of openness.

■ Lightweight and warm.

Weighs only 60% to 70% of duvets and towel blankets.

The lifespan of a Paximan mattress pad varies depending on individual usage frequency and environment.

If used daily, it can typically last about 2-3 years;

If well-maintained, some customers have reported it lasting 4-5 years.

Areas where body pressure is concentrated or friction is high (such as the buttocks or heels) are prone to thinning or wear. It is recommended to regularly flip the pad to extend its lifespan.

Tips for extending lifespan:

  • ✅ Even use: Regularly flip the pad (front to back, top to bottom) to evenly distribute wear.
  • ✅ Moderate washing: Paximan can withstand approximately 100 washes.

It is recommended to wash it once a week; the more it is washed, the softer and more comfortable it becomes.

As Pashiman is made of natural cotton, there may be approximately 5% natural shrinkage after washing due to the fluffiness of the inner cotton fibers.

Regarding drying methods:

🚫 We do not recommend using a tumble dryer,

as high temperatures and friction can cause the fabric to shrink, deform, or get damaged.

✅ You can use a futon dryer,

but please note: avoid concentrating hot air on the same area for an extended period. We recommend using it for about 10 minutes just before bedtime to preheat the duvet. If used for too long each time (e.g., about 1 hour), it may accelerate fabric aging.

When air-drying after washing, gently pull the fabric flat with your hands before hanging it to dry. This helps reduce shrinkage.

After daily use, it is recommended to air out the duvet in a well-ventilated, shaded area to release absorbed moisture and maintain its freshness and cleanliness.

Yes, this is because Pashmina has excellent moisture absorption and heat retention properties, so you will feel warmth when your body comes into contact with the fabric.

This is a natural reaction, and after a few days of continuous use, you will feel a just-right, warm and comfortable sensation.
